It does not grow berries. Its stem is taller than a breadbox. It does not know parkour.
Nona Reverse - 2015/1/6
At Tiri: Sorry I took so long! If I may . . . Does it grow berries? At tallest, is the stem/stalk/trunk taller than a breadbox? Does it know parkour?
Tiri - 2015/1/6
Ok. I have a plant in mind.
W. - 2015/1/6
At Nona : as their name suggest fusion is the fusion of two (hydrogen = tritium and deuterium) nuclei in a bigger one

Fission is the divide of a big nucleus (uranium 238 1) into two smaller and a few free particles

The main differences between the two are :
temperature : 3000 K for fission, 10 000 000 K for fusion
energie : 1g of fusing material > 1000 T of fissing material
reject : radioactives unstables product for fission, neutral helium for fission
Stability : fusion cannot go into chain reaction and has to be alimented to continue

Also, their are lot of other nuclears operation possible. eg natural radioactivity

Why are we speaking about nuclear reactions again?
Anonymus - 2015/1/5
Got fission and fusion backwards, but otherwise pretty good explanation. Cheers!
Nona Reverse - 2015/1/5
Nuclear fission has low-charge nuclei fuse and form a heavier nucleus with the release of energy. A heavy nucleus splits spontaneously or from impacting another particle in nuclear fusion, resulting in a release of energy. Twenty questions is a game where you start off by telling the other person whether something you have in mind is a plant, animal, or inanimate object, and then they ask general questions about the topic. The first questions are to eliminate outside possibilities (Is it bigger than a breadbox, Does it swim, Do I keep it in my basement). After twenty questions, they need to be able to guess what plant, animal, object or mineral the first person was thinking of. Wanna play it?
Tiri - 2015/1/5
I have no idea how to play twenty questions. I'll just assume is involves asking questions. My first question is: What is the difference between nuclear fusion and nuclear fission?
Nona Reverse - 2015/1/5
I feel like my three posts these last few months are too much, with the same strip. I'm sure Dypen is just celebrating a new year, to explain why there's no update. No one resolves to act considerate, but they could at least have decided to remember the comic. Updates are not consideration. Before you announce the comic dead, it is basic human decency we all may appreciate. Would someone in the comments section please play a word game with me? If you don't want twenty questions, we could make up our own!
Anon - 2015/1/3
So apparently someone messed something up bigtime? I guess I haven't checked the comic in like a month so I didn't notice. Pity, I love finding something to complain about.
W. - 2015/1/1
answer to Fortis : in broad nightlight : the background color shows that some time has passed and it is now night.
Fortis - 2014/12/29
Seventh panel. Is that Lana out in broad daylight?
W. - 2014/12/26
you might want to change the strip title.
JHSII - 2014/12/22
"He was persuaded by my fine negotiation skills." Very happy
Why can't I negotiate like that?
StickeDude - 2014/12/21
NO! NOT THE B-PLOT! ANYTHING BUT THAT! Tongue
Gicko - 2014/12/20
hundred gold says that aint turrick
sciury - 2014/12/19
did turrick use
animation of dead ( murder) or a big debuff in wisdom?
Mad Lemmey - 2014/12/18
Good to see it all back.
Thank you chaps.
Dr. Simon - 2014/12/18
Did you guys annoy North korea or something? Glad to have the comic back, and liking the latest update, particularly Turrick's "negotiating skills".
Tiri - 2014/12/17
Yay! The problem seems to be fixed!
Crazed - 2014/12/17
Thanks for the offer, but all is well. Happy I just had to recompile pngcrush. 5 minute fix--unfortunately, my email provider was apparently not delivering my messages to Dypen, so that was the cause of the delay.
Prowl - 2014/12/16
I'll volunteer my considerable technical expertise if it will get the comic moving again. PHP & full stack expertise.
Crazed - 2014/12/13
Sorry for the delays, everyone. I was travelling for the past few days and I'm working on resolving the issue now. From what Dypen have told me, the site is rejecting the image file for the new comic, so as soon as I have that file, I can troubleshoot what's going wrong.
W. - 2014/12/13
replying to nona reverse :
old feature
the similarity is at the end.
Nona Reverse - 2014/12/12
. . . Nobody wants to pay the ransom.

It occurred to me now, if technical issue #347,865.7 is resolved, the strip "testing" must vanish, and these voices will cease existing. "testing" SHALL vanish, with all of the carefully cultivated personalities found in its comment section gone. Eternity. Consigned to a void. That means I can say whatever I f**king damn-well want, right at this moment. So, you know what, everybody? Fine.
W. - 2014/12/12
What was the conclusion of the test?
Mad Lemmey - 2014/12/11
Hope it's fixed soon.
sciury - 2014/12/11
@ tiri : you are right, it is even haunted : sign that at least a gost appears on the page !

Lets not assume the computer has a 'reason' to refuse the comic. We would know if computer were always deterministic ...
Tiri - 2014/12/10
The new comic is cursed!
Leakingpen2 - 2014/12/10
Yes, testing to try and figure out the bug. For some reason, its let us readd other comics (i just grabbed one from random from the folder where I keep comics) and after it posted, i tried to update with the new comic, and ... no go. Still waiting to hear back from tech support, sorry guys! If nothing is fixed by Friday, I'm going to see about an alternate hosting short term.
sciury - 2014/12/10
@Prowl
nice one. What other silly theory can we have?

>the cynic one : this test is not on the server but on us : how long will we keep coming lured by hope of a fleeting joy before the pavlov reflex disappears.
>the shy one : the author became so protective of their work they want to shield it from critics
> the silly one : someone kidnapped dypen adran and the english queen ! (and the plot)
> the matrix one : you have to believe and the new pages will appears behind the screen, on another layer of virtual reallity
>the distracted one : they forgot to put it on
> the even more distracted one : the new server is named Kaal.

Other idea?
Nona Reverse - 2014/12/10
It could be neat if they ransomed Dypen to us . . . Does the comment section have a spokesperson already?
Prowl - 2014/12/10
That's too straightforward an explanation. I'm going with the "kidnapped by terrorists for ransom" theory until I see evidence otherwise.
Ertai - 2014/12/10
Bring me comics beyond comics!
Night Templar - 2014/12/9
Prowl:

A lowercase "testing" with a comment that's only "test" indicates that they're testing something about the site. Therefore, it is logical to assume that the lack of updates was because of technical difficulties, either changes to the way uploads worked or just a bug, and that this update is to see if they can be fixed.

They could have said as much in the author's comments, but given how obvious it seems, I'm more bothered by the fact that theu used "testing" instead of "Hello world!"
Prowl - 2014/12/9
"Testing" the patience of readers by posting an incomplete copy of an old comic after no updates in well over a month and wondering if the authors had been kidnapped for ransom by ISIS?
Me - 2014/12/9
Was that 'testing' like testing to see if it was funny? 'Cause it wasn't.
Tiri - 2014/12/9
Oops. Didn't see the 'testing' at the top of the page.
Nona Reverse - 2014/12/9
This is just to test that posting works again? (When did the blue-shirt guy in panel one lose his right foot?)
Tiri - 2014/12/9
Um.... I think we've seen this before... Looks slightly different, but the words are almost identical.
