Deadliest Meal of the Day

posted by Jordan on 2008/11/16 (Comics)

You know, I laughed at first, but now that I think about it, where else would all the delicious gelatin treats come from?

“someone disintegrated a Gelatinous Cube. It turned into jelly crystals.”

...DISINTEGRATE.
...makes CRYSTALS.

...
?!

No, I think he was channeling Roy in the first line and Elan in the second and third lines. Man, this is such a great strip.
Doopliss - 2008/11/20
...But it still looks weird. Tongue
Amaretto - 2008/11/19
@Dooplis

lol. What do you expect? It's a stick figure comic. It isn't even trying to look realistic. Annoyed

I was merely saying that there is a perfectly reasonable explanation for the slime moving. Zarah just copied the pic of Keriss and flipped it. Very happy Annoyed

In a game I ran a while ago, someone discintigrated a Gelatinous Cube. It turned into jelly crystals. We sold it to jelly-makers Very happy Now we know where jelly comes from in this world...
mockingbyrd7 - 2008/11/18
TwistedNerve, I think Kaal was channeling Roy on his first line, Elan on his second, and Thog on the third. Tongue
Doopliss - 2008/11/18
It still looks weird, though. "Realistically", the upper body would have to face away from the camera (or completely sideways) for the slime to move that much when turning.
Amaretto - 2008/11/18
yah lol, FoE is right... I thought that was kind of obvious.... Very happy
Face of Evil - 2008/11/18
Kres, in panel 3 Keriss' body was facing to the right. In the rest of the strip, her body is now facing to the left. That's why the slime moves.

Also, WHO ****ING CARES?! Tongue
kres - 2008/11/18
My only comment is that the one blob of jello on Keriss left side on panel I am guessing #4 then all the rest its on the right side.. Does this jello move on its own???? wow that be amazing stuff in that jello fight they should have had. Lana is on the ground but what put her there humm interesting to think about all the little imagination inducing graphic images.
Knight13 - 2008/11/17
You haven't missed anything. When Aldran and the gang plane-shifted out, they ended up in the Plane of Slime and apparently spent the night there. Now they're back on the Prime Material.
Sequinox - 2008/11/17
... What?

I missed something.
MTONinja - 2008/11/17
Here's to hoping we get a flashback of the two ladys in a plane of slime jello fight Tongue
TwistedNerve - 2008/11/17
Kaal was channeling Roy for a second there.
Doopliss - 2008/11/17
“If its a day later, why haven't Aldran and whatshername's injuries healed any?”

Because they were too busy fleeing from assorted jellies, puddings, and Gelatinous Cubes?
Niley - 2008/11/17
Hm, the scenery in panel 1 kinda reminds me of the pic in OotS when Roy is being told about the starmetal. I like it.
Crazed - 2008/11/17
I love the change in scenery!
FrankNorman - 2008/11/17

GJ Zarah.

Happy

Now we know how they feel....

Awesome....

Awesome comic overral Zarah, keep on rocking!
Knight13 - 2008/11/16
It's most likely a quasi-elemental plane, like the Plane of Dust. Those are caused by the interactions between the other Inner Planes.

Also, I'm wondering how long it's going to be before someone asks about the wings.
Elena (aka Lionpawheart) - 2008/11/16
hehe. But honestly, whats the purpose of Plane of Slime? I'm with Lana on this one- there is none.
cookie - 2008/11/16
He still has his wings out! This is awesome!
Chineselegolas - 2008/11/16
When I first saw this one I have to say I was reminded of Dominic Deegan and his teleportation
SoulHarvest - 2008/11/16
The sun is out, but she's in a forest, thus shade eveywhere. Thus darkness. Tee hee hee, toast.
Vampiric - 2008/11/16
Good point with the sun, LIBM...

Also, you can plane shift ghosts? I never knew...
Doopliss - 2008/11/16
Sure is lucky it's a forest.

Also, next morning? They must have been having a pretty rough night.
Lyinginbedmon - 2008/11/16
Certainly explains the plethora of Ooze creatures in most settings.

I wonder how long it'll take them to realise that the sun is out and that's bad for Lana?
dragongirl13 - 2008/11/16
"You're just saying that because you don't want to admit that we had to run from things that are normally spread on toast."

Utterly priceless.

Awesome comic.
