Oh How the Tables Turn

posted by Jordan on 2008/6/7 (Comics)

Lana isn't really one to talk about inefficient multiclassing, but oh well.

So yet another twist in this long and winding story. I've been waiting for a while now to introduce this scene, and I finally got to see it come to fruition. I'm fairly happy with the result.

As for issue 100, it may take a while to finish. There's a lot of drawing that must be done, and now that I'm working full-time, I'll probably slow down a bit. However, I'll do my best to get it out as soon as I can.

Great comic! I've posted on OOTS a while back and was randomly searching google when I found the website. Great design and I love the fade in thing.

ALso: Tucker, I think nighogg was picking fun at Van Helsing and the Vampire D guys and those hunters. Also, if AH updated to 4.0 it would lose a great portion of its fanbase because 4.0 isn't about role-playing anymore. Thirdly please try and use spell checker before posting.

"Lana isn't really one to talk about inefficient multiclassing, but oh well."
No no! It makes perfect sense - Arcane Trickster (with multiclass to Archmage for Arcane Fire)!
Forealms - 2008/6/11
Heh, I figured he would've noticed by now that he's speaking to someone with a giant black speech bubble xD

OMG!

lol. Great comic.

I started reading this a while ago and I must say it is my favourite web-comic.

It is even better than OOTS some of the time because of the regular updates.

Keep it up Zarah!

Also : I'd like you, Zarah. To do something crazy on #100. Not the usual awesome. But crazy awesome, or atleast a double comic. Very happy

It could be just another crazy dwarf who's a fan of his poems. Most likely its just fame and a good charisma score.
elaikases - 2008/6/8
Come on, everyone knows that vampires are out in the wilderness, right, where Rangers go after them?

This was a great one, made me laugh from start to finish.
nidhogg - 2008/6/8
shouldn't vampire hunters look all grim with black clothes and fancy weapons?

anyway he just has to take of the cap from lana and she's done for
Tanner - 2008/6/8
No, No pun intended.

Looks like it is time for a good ol' Ranger vs. Rogue showdown.
Elena - 2008/6/8
did not see that coming, I must say. But what happens next is much easier to predict. So make it good!
Doopliss - 2008/6/7
"every character and monster got there time in the sun."
Pun intended? Happy

I think if he was leading Lana into a trap he wouldn't have outright said he was a vampire hunter just chatting. Seems to me he's probably just thick...
Tanner - 2008/6/7
Oops! did I say REALT,
sorry, I mean REALY.
Tanner - 2008/6/7
Oh...My...God!

Very funny however. Happy

Anyway, I played DnD4e today(for the first time)
and all I have to say is this.

Best...Game...Ever!

Realy!~the game rocks. the system works realy well, and every character and monster got there time in the sun.

I'm REALT hopeing that anti-HEROES upsate's to 4e.

phase thats obvious and festy a dwarf in the last strip said he had read all the bards' books now if my hunch is right ,and based on what the pattern of this comic, what others said, and my own deductions it should be, then the hunter is just leading lana into a trap or he is going to fall in love with her (i really hope that happens other wise i'll look like a donkey and you all know what the other name for a donkey is)
Face of Evil - 2008/6/7
The dwarf said that he had read of all of Laris' books. (Laris is the bard.)
Phase - 2008/6/7
Uh oh. Lana's in trouble!
Uncle Festy - 2008/6/7
Woah, that's great. Came out well. Very happy
I can't wait for #100.
@FOE: … what book?
Face of Evil - 2008/6/7
That dwarf ... he mentioned he liked his books. Do you know what this means?

THIS GUY WROTE THE BOOK ON VAMPIRE HUNTING! O_O
Doopliss - 2008/6/7
He might be compentent... He did suggest he needs Bardic Knowledge/Gather Information to figure out where they are...
Querzis - 2008/6/7
No, famous as a vampire hunter. He already said people dont like his poems.
Mem - 2008/6/7
Famous at being a horrid poet?
SoD - 2008/6/7
Ooh dear. This'll be good.
Faithless - 2008/6/7
Well he is famous. He can't suck that bad.
Lyinginbedmon - 2008/6/7
Good luck with the 100th page, and I imagine Lana will be doing her "kind" a favour by killing this guy (Who can't really be all that competent if he hasn't realised yet...)
