posted by Jordan on 2009/6/13 (Comics)

It's almost 3:30 in the morning and I'm uploading a comic. What is wrong with me?

Psh, sleep is for the living!

“You know, I just noticed that the gnome doesn't close his mouth even once in this whole strip. Weird.”

Aldran probably doesn't either, you just can't tell because he's wearing that hood. Tongue

This was a fairly talky strip, after all.
Tharivole - 2009/6/16
You know, I just noticed that the gnome doesn't close his mouth even once in this whole strip. Weird.
Amaretto - 2009/6/16
Oh alright. I read it in the sense of the specific prophecy, like an object. I see how it could be "prophecy" as something less direct though...
MTONinja - 2009/6/16
He should be happy he isn't being made to pay the money back right now!
The final panel made me laugh, so very true!
ldcnuke - 2009/6/16
"Playing with prophesy" makes perfect sense. It means playing with the idea of prophesy or prophesy in general rather than a specific one. No typo to fix.

I'm still imagining this guy with a squeaky, helium-ey gnome voice. It's pretty funny.
Godmouth - 2009/6/16
Nonono, it should be "playing with Prophecy"
With a capital P.
Tanner - 2009/6/15
Fate is for suckers! the future is unwritten! live with it!
Face of Evil - 2009/6/14
No, "playing with prophecy" is correct.
Amaretto - 2009/6/14
Hey guys. Sorry I haven't been keeping up for a while. I've been busy with final projects for school, and exams and such.

Great to see you started updating again, Zarah! Happy

HOWEVER I MUST POINT OUT A TYPO FOR YOU TO FIX!
In Panel 6, Turrick says "Playing with prophecy is a dangerous business". I believe it should be PROPHECIES (plural) instead of prophecy over there, since it doesn't really make sense.
Sorry for beiing nitpicky, just thought I'd point it out so you can re-edit it. =P

I have to wonder if the comment in the 10th panel is a reference to "Live Free or Die Hard" or just a coincidence.
Malygos - 2009/6/14
Well, Evil does not exist, neither does good. It is only aplication of power...

Peace is lie, there is only passion, through passion I gain strenth, through streng I gain power, through power I gain victory. through victory my chains are broken. "The Nondescript Magical Energy of the Galaxy" shall set me free
FrankNorman - 2009/6/14
For someone who sat on a council composed of fiends, Turrick seems a surpisingly good-natured fellow. I refer of course to his concern for Lana.
Jendob - 2009/6/14
So... should we be prepared for epic battles? >_>
Red XIV - 2009/6/13
“So when do we got the know about the Prophecy with a big P?”

Well, Aldran says he'll explain it tomorrow. But even if he's telling the truth, that's an in-comic tomorrow, so who knows how many strips away it is.
Profundus - 2009/6/13
So when do we got the know about the Prophecy with a big P?
Taker - 2009/6/13
Haha, point one for Aldran.

But this is so gonna bite him in the ass...
Smiley - 2009/6/13
Well that was a really long way of saying nothing! Though the end line was great. Surely you have to actually tell us something about this prophecy soon...
Sequinox - 2009/6/13
Sooooo confused....

I think I missed something.

The build up to the prophecy is killing me. And thx for the load up, 3:30 in the morning is pretty stiff.

Turricks comment on revenge reminds me of that quote from Spiderman III:

""Revenge is like a poison. It can take us over. Before you know it, it can turn you into something ugly."
dragongirl13 - 2009/6/13
Haha, I love the Lampshade Hanging Aldran does in this comic... "Your advice would be far more effective if you hadn't ripped it off from every other fantasy epic in existence." Great moment. Happy

Now you've got us all wondering what this prophecy is. Hmm...
Sirek - 2009/6/13
Yay, OOTS AND anti-Heroes!
Inkling - 2009/6/13
Nothing's wrong with you. Unless you think that awesomeness is a problem.
magic9mushroom - 2009/6/13
Hmm. Wonder what this prophecy is?
Mem - 2009/6/13
Same reason that I'm checking the comic at 5:50am after staying up all night. Tongue
Seros Senric - 2009/6/13
Nothing's wrong with you, because we want comics.

And the reason that advice is in pretty much every fantasy epic in existance, is because it's such great advice that can be used in nearly any quest. It's a classic Happy
Redwizard - 2009/6/13
First and so true
