“When has the greater good stopped being his objective?”
Hell, when did it start being his objective? We have no idea what his agenda is at all. Given what he's been up to (I count assault on a guard, unlawful entry into the city, assault and attempted murder on Finx, and breaking and entering into this place), why should we take him at his word?
...Speaking of his word, has he even claimed to be serving the greater good? Literally the only reason anyone thinks he's one of the good guys is because he said he's a paladin. Call me crazy, but I don't think that saying that should exempt someone from scrutiny. "Yes, you found me in the vault of the bank with a crowbar and a big sack with a dollar sign on it, but it's OK because I'm a paladin!"
Doopliss - 2008/8/14
Well, we already have one crazy epic level multi-class Cleric/Wizard. Tongue
The Zergling One - 2008/8/14
@Dooplis: I don't know if he did or not, but after casting disrupting weapon and then flying? It seems likely unless he's some crazy epic level multi-class Paladin/Cleric/Wizard.

Very happy Now thats more like it!

Happy Thx
Face of Evil - 2008/8/14
Hello, Amaretto. Glad to hear you had a nice trip. Happy

Sad

Nbody even said hi....
Doopliss - 2008/8/14
The Zergling One: You think he took the Travel domain?

Q: Illusionist.

Why does everyone keep insisting Eldhin is non-good? Sure he's a bit of a jerk and perpetually scowling, but when has the greater good stopped being his objective?
Landon Fox - 2008/8/13
How much you want to bet that Eldhin is an Aasimar or similar? And then what is Aldren?
the_Q - 2008/8/13
How does Finx close his eyes in the 6th panel if he dosen't have any eye lids? I assume he dosen't have any eye lids since he is a skeleton....
The Zergling One - 2008/8/13
I think his ability to fly is even more evidence that he's a cleric. Clerics get fly as a domain spell in the travel domain as a 3rd level spell. Happy

HEY PPLS!

I'm back from France!
The Cote d'Azur was great! =P

Regarding the Paladin: I beleive that he is the 4th edition Pally as he looks to me as Lawful Neutral and apparently gets spells that the 3.5th doesn't.

Alternatively, he could just have levels in Cleric (as aleady mentioned by someone) and just be called a Paladin. (Much as Miko is a Samurai without having any levels in the samurai class; loved that comic. =P.

He could also be a homebrewed version of a 3.5th Paladin, changed slightly to better fit the story.

Anywaus, great comics as usual and keep up the great work Zarah!

Very happy

Hmm, Eldhin Seems to have a perpetual scowl, Grumpy git isn't he. Tongue
Doopliss - 2008/8/12
I'm pretty sure he was discarding the cape, as awesome an idea as that is.
taliesan - 2008/8/12
Cape doubles as a flying carpet - a classic fantasy enchanted object that is woefully underused.
Scalenex - 2008/8/12
Comparing notes with this and Order of the Stick, I've determined that talking skeletons make things funnier, much like British accents do in live action comedy.

Time
Face of Evil - 2008/8/11
I notice he disposed of his cape before setting off. Clearly he's been watching the Incredibles.

"NO CAPES!"

I think Austran has the right idea here. While Wind Walk isn't that great a spell for tactical movement, it's perfect for long-duration aerial searches and interception. Nothing save teleportation is faster than a Wind-Walking Cleric or Druid. The countdown to family reunion (likely with Ivory Veil Paladins in tow), is rapidly ticking down unless Aldran is smart enough to try teleporting somewhere.

I also must agree that seeing the "Oh crap" look on Finx's face is priceless. I'm seriously beginning to doubt his Wisdom is decently high.
Face of Evil - 2008/8/11
Look! Up in the sky!
Is it a bird?
Is it a plane?
Elena (aka Lionpawheart) - 2008/8/11
palading can now fly, associate themselves with evil people and keep their status, and liches are wandering around town with their skull shown to anyone who passes by. I love your comic.
cookie - 2008/8/11
did he... fly?!
thic just keeps getting an better, every strip is win!
Draad - 2008/8/11
I don't think he removed his cape for nothing... wings anyone ? Wink
MTONinja - 2008/8/11
His cape.

I must agree Austran on your skeleton facial expressions. Well done!
Firestar27 - 2008/8/11
What's that in panel 7?
Austran - 2008/8/11
You, sir Quigley, is a Master of Skeleton Facial Expression. Loved forth panel.

Eldhin probably casted Wind Walk in the ninth panel.
Hippoboy - 2008/8/11
4th panel = epic
querzis - 2008/8/11
Ok, with the woosh and Finx screaming while looking above, I'm guessing he can fly. I wonder if he got wizard or sorcerer levels or if its an items.
Keit - 2008/8/11
lmfao, love the fourth panel
CarpeGuitarrem - 2008/8/11
Hehehe...pwned.
